On September 6, 2018 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin participated in the International Conference “Modern Wars and Old Conflicts in the Black Sea Region”, organized in Odesa under the support of Conrad Adenauer Stiftung (Foundation). The participants of the conference were the First Deputy Minister of Informational Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova and authorized experts from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Georgia, Estonia, Moldova, Finland and Ukraine. Borys Babin in his report emphasized legal and political consequences of the continued occupation of Crimea by paying attention at the spillover effects of the Russian aggression on the humanitarian, economic and ecological processes in the Black Sea region. The experts were particularly interested in the aspects of militarization of Crimea and maritime areas surrounding the peninsula by Russia and therefore practical implementation of sanctions against the state-aggressor.
