On February, 21 2018 the Permanent Representative of ARC Borys Babin and the officials of the Departments of International Relations and Law Analysis of the Mission took part in the International Forum: “Occupied Peninsula – 4 Years of Resistance”.
The First Deputy of Prime Minister of Ukraine, the first Deputy of the Head of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Head of Medjlis of Crimean Tatar People, the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President, the European Parliament deputy from German, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of USA in Ukraine, the Deputy Head of the NATO office in Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada in Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey in Ukraine, the Head of UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, a Representative of Ombutsman for the Rights of IDPs, The First Deputy Minister of TOT and IDPs, the First Deputy Minister of Culture, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, the First Deputy Minister of Justice, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine on European Integration, the First Deputy of Prosecutor in ARC, the Deputy Minister of International Relations of Ukraine and other representatives of central and local executive bodies and nongovernmental organizations took part in the event.

The inter- species groups have been created to discuss: the state policy of Ukraine during the occupation of Crimea in 2014-2018; the role of the international community in non-recognition policy of Crimea annexion; the elements of opposition and protection of Human Rights in Crimea. In the framework of the meeting the need to launch the International Platform of Crimea deoccupation was discussed.
Also within the International Forum the highlighted issues were: a forced replacement of citizens from the TOT, certification, distance education for Crimean residents, elimination of cultural heritage, illegal archeological excavations on the territory of ARC.
The Permanent Representative emphasized the activities combating the Russia’s aggression provided by the Mission, particularly it provides, within the its competence, the ensuring of the legitimate rights and freedoms of the citizens of Ukraine, residing on the TOT or replaced to live on the mainland of Ukraine; contributes to provide them with various kinds of aid; coordinates the activities to meet their humanitarian needs; realizes their right to obtain the administrative services in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

The Plan of Urgent Measures of Combating the Russia’s Aggression from the TOT in Crimea, defense the interests of our state, its citizens and Ukrainian legal persons is being elaborated by the Mission now along with a Strategy of reintegration of Crimea as a set of activities should be taken after the deoccupation of the peninsula.
