In 2 August 2018 the acting Rector of the Taurian National University, named after Vernadsky, Vladimir Kazarin, Head of the Department if International Connections of the Mission Yevheniy Samuha and the Chief Consultant of the Department of Legal Analysis Ruslan Seidametov met with the Commissioner for European Court of Human Rights Ivan Lishchyna. They discussed a great range of issues concerning the protection of interests and compensation for losses, caused to the Higher Educational Establishments of Ukraine by the RF when the Universities lost all their assets and opportunities to provide the education under the Russian aggression.
“The occupying authorities must hold responsible under an international law for their aggressive policy and illegal use of property of the Universities in the occupied Crimea” – said Vladimir Kazarin.
The joint activities outlook on implementation of the Plan of urgent measures in counteraction of Russian aggression from the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea for 2018-2019 was discussed. In particular, the attention paid to the development of inter-institution collaboration on collecting the evidence for inter-state complaints of Ukraine against the RF to be submitted to the European Court of Human Rights.
