In July 2018 the authorities of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, of the regional governmental bodies, Border Guard veterans participated in the ceremonies held in the occasion of 80th Anniversary of 79th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. 79th Border Guard Detachment provided security of the State border of Ukraine in the Crimean peninsula before start of the Russia’s aggression and nowadays it carries out its mandate in the administrative boundary line with the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in AR Crimea.

The Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Petro Tsygycal congratulated in his greeting speech the military personnel with the Anniversary and pointed out the current progress in technical equipment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine,  emphasized a new steps made to provide the officers with the official accommodation and decent salary. The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin handed the Mission`s Commendations to the best militaries of the Detachment and wished the next jubilee to be marked at the base of the Detachment’s permanent location in Simferopol.
