A meeting was held at the Mission with a couple who had left temporarily occupied Crimea in 2021.
The Mission provides support to citizens at all stages. Specifically, after the couple’s departure, the Mission assisted them with an inheritance case and facilitated the restoration of their pension payments in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
Furthermore, during the meeting, the couple shared information on the current situation on the peninsula, public sentiment, and the challenges faced by residents of Crimea under occupation, particularly regarding the occupiers’ control of the information space. At the same time, the couple noted that many people in Crimea are waiting for the peninsula to be de-occupied.
Such meetings remain an important source of feedback and help to better understand the current needs of Ukrainian citizens in Crimea.
