On 26 November 2018 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin together with the officials of the Department of International Connections met with the Deputy Head of the mission, the Head of the Political and Economy Department Mykhalem Gergonem and the First Secretary Danuta Valetska.
During the meeting, a special attention was paid to the escalation of Russian aggression against Ukraine in the Black and Azov Seas. Borys Babin told about the aggressive activity of Russia against Ukraine in the Azov and Black Seas and the measures undertaken by Ukraine against the gross violation of the international law by the state-aggressor.
In addition, another violations of international law by Russia was discussed, including the construction of “the Kerch Bridge”, permanent illegal blockings, detentions and inspections of fishing and trade vessels flying the Ukrainian Flag, carried out by Russia in the Sea of Azov, including the kidnapping of fishers in the Sea of Azov and Syvash Bay by the RF armed forces from the temporarily occupied Crimea, particularly illegal seizure of their catching gears and catch and increasing of navy and ground artillery of the RF in the regions, adjacent to the Syvash Bay and the Sea of Azov.
The Permanent Representatives pointed out the need to amend the Law of Ukraine “On Creation of the Free Economic Zone “Crimea” and on Peculiarities of Exercising Economic Activity in the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine” and once again stressed on the violation of exciting international agreements by the RF. Borys Babin emphasized the need to strengthen sanction’s pressure on the state-aggressor by the civilized countries.
