In August 20, 2018 the development of common platform for the State authorities regarding the further interaction with the RF on fishery in the Sea of Azov under the current interstates` Agreements on the defense of fishers in the Black Sea was highlighted at the working meeting held by the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and the First Deputy Izet Gdanov
The participants of the meeting were the officials of the State Agency for Fisheries of Ukraine, of the National Security and Defense Council, of the Security Service of Ukraine, of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, of the State Enterprise “Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine” and other state institutions.
The discussed issues concerned the upcoming meeting of the regular XXX session of Ukrainian and Russian Commission on Fishery in the Azov Sea and feasibility of further engagement with the RF on fishery issues in the Azov Sea within the current bilateral agreements under the temporarily occupation of Crimea. The participants agreed a future plan of actions to build a common response to the Russian illegal restrictions to commercial fishery carried out by physical and legal persons in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine
