On the 31st day of October, 2017 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Borys Babin and his First Deputy Izet Hdanov held a meeting with students and authorities of Kherson State University. During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of admissions campaign of 2017-2018 academic year, aspects of informing Crimeans about the possibilities to get education in the higher educational establishments of mainland Ukraine in the large variety of fields without external independent testing.
The Permanent Representative emphasized that training of Crimeans in the higher educational establishments of mainland Ukraine will be under constant attention of the Representative Office. Also, the criminal infringements of the right to education by the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation in Crimea, which are manifested by the attempts to foster feelings of hatred, to intimidate pupils, university entrants, students and their parents and by dissemination of false information about the state of affairs of the Ukrainian education are not remained unaddressed or without state’s proper response.
First Deputy Izet Hdanov informed that Ukraine offers the possibility of obtaining educational services to the Ukrainian citizens from temporarily occupied territories on preferential terms, stressing that it is not expedient to get the academic certificates in the temporarily occupied territory, since these fake documents would be never recognized by Ukraine and other civilized countries.
