In June, 25 2018 the First deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Izet Gdanov met the delegation from the Republic of Poland, Warsaw, Konrad Zaszhtof, analytic of the Institute of International Affairs, Natalia Orlovska – Academy of Military Sciences. In the framework of the meeting it was observed the Crimean issue in the context of geopolitical problem, caused by the temporarily occupation of the territory of Ukraine in Crimea.
First Izet Gdanov told the guests about the total Human Rights violations in the occupied peninsula, particularly about the repressions against the representatives of the Indigenous Crimean Tatar People, restrictions on the right exercising of the citizens of Ukraine, residing in the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea, including the rights to education, to thought and expression, to vote, forced replacement and hybrid deportation, restriction on the rights to housing, land, property and access to tele-radio information resources, stressing that the only target of the occupying authorities is the total militarization of the peninsula but not development of the social and cultural environment for the Crimean residents.
Izet Gdanov pointed the statistics data of the IDPs from Crimea, exercising their rights in mainland Ukraine and the part of the Mission in facilitating the realization of the Ukrainian citizens from Crimea rights to education according to the Program “Crimea – Ukraine”, establishing Administrative Service Centers for certification of the citizens from the occupied territory, particularly increasing opportunities of the State Enterprise “Document”. Although the attention was paid to the location of the IDPs of the Crimean Tatar People in the regions of Ukraine, activity of Medjlis of Crimean Tatar People and role of its regional bodies around the territory of Ukraine.
The First Deputy emphasized the status of the Mission and its Mandate in cooperation and interaction as with law enforcement bodies so with the executive bodies, its collaboration with non-governmental and international organizations deciding concerned issues of the temporarily occupation of Crimea. In conclusion Izet Gdanov pointed that it is joint efforts of the international community implementing the economic pressure and constant strengthening of the sanctions against the occupier will lead to de-occupation of the peninsula and restoration of the territorial integrity of the whole country.
