On the 10th of October 2016 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Natalia Popovych held the meeting with Fiona Frazer, the Head of the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
During the meeting the parties discussed the general state of violations of human rights and freedoms on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and paid attention to the negative tendencies, which affect the development of the situation with the violation of human rights in Crimea.
In particular, Natalia Popovych stressed the problems faced by faithful people of the Crimean Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate under conditions of temporal occupation.
During the meeting Fiona Frazer also familiarized herself with the aspects of work of the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea aimed at making contribution to the observation of human rights and freedoms provided for by the Ukrainian Constitution and laws, international conventions regarding citizens of Ukraine, who live on the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimean Peninsula or who have moved to the mainland Ukraine.
