On March, 5 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea Borys Babin held the working meeting with Peter Chilvers and Susan Stamper – head officers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in Kherson region. During the meeting it was discussed a great range of issues related to order and security within the district of the administrative boundary line with the TOT of Ukraine, particularly operational activity by the structural subdivisions of the Main Directorate of the National Police in ARC and Sevastopol in the territories adjacent to the TOT of Ukraine which have today the working places to be arranged for them by establishing the modules at the check-points “Chongar” and “Kalanchak”.
The discussed issues concerned the breach of International Maritime Law and bilateral fishing agreements, the legislation of Ukraine in the context of recent legal detention of Ukrainian vessel “Nord” engaged in fishing in the Azov Sea waters around the mainland of Ukraine without being held to the allotted Ukrainian quotas for fishing, flying illegally the Russian flag, and openly violating the state boundary line regime with the TOT causing significant losses to our State. The core subject of the discussion was the reflection in the analytical documents of the SMM OSCE of the real state of affairs in the administrative boundary line with the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea, the exercising the IDPs’ rights and the citizens, residing in the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea, particularly their Labor and Social Rights, Rights to housing, education, administrative services, judicial and court challenges etc.
Borys Babin introduced the coordinative activity of the Mission on implementation the projects related to the establishing of the temporarily housing for the IDPs from Crimea in the different regions of Ukraine and creating the possibilities of their full integration into the social life of the territorial communities with their further employment. The parties reached the agreement on the cooperation and mutual exchange of information in order to carry out the mandates aimed to overcome the negative effects caused by the activity of the occupying authorities in Crimea.
