On the 31st day of October, 2017 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Borys Babin and his First Deputy Izet Hdanov held a working meeting with the representatives of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Mark Bazhanyk, Maksym Popovych and Vitaliy Khilko.
During the meeting, the parties discussed violations of human rights in the temporarily occupied peninsula. The Permanent Representative reported to the officials of the UN Monitoring Mission about activities of the Representative Office, drew attention to the necessity and expediency of holding monthly meetings, and informed about destruction of cultural heritage of Ukraine of the Crimean Tatar People, a situation with the Khan’s Palace (Bakhchysarai) was given as an example.
