The occupation authorities of Crimea annexed by Russia completely stopped the movement of vehicles and pedestrians through the administrative border with the temporarily occupied peninsula. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
“This night since 1.30 a.m. the occupation authorities located at the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea completely stopped the movement of vehicles and pedestrians through the administrative border with the temporarily occupied peninsula”– has been reported in the statement.
The reasons for such actions are unknown, as people from the peninsula are also not allowed to cross the border. “There are no mass of traffic and queues of citizens due to a quite low passenger-traffic flow as at 8:00 am” – border guards said.
In connection with a situation emerged at the checkpoints “Chongar”, “Kalanchak” and “Chaplynka”, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine asks the citizens to consider this information and refrain from traveling.
