In April, 24 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin took part in the Seminar with the participation of the foreign experts on the strategic assessment of the Strategy of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces development of Ukraine up to 2035 and reported on “Crimean Factor in the Maritime Security of Ukraine”
In his report Borys Babin emphasized the need of interaction to coordinate the Strategy of Development of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Up to 2035 and the Plan of Urgent Measures in Prevention of the Russian Aggression from the Temporarily Occupied Territory of Ukraine in Crimea, in Protection of the State’s Interests, of Citizens of Ukraine and of Ukrainian Legal Entities in Crimea for 2018-2019, the draft of which is developed by the Mission as well with the Strategy on Re-integration the Crimea after Its De-occupation, to be developed in 2018.
In the framework of the Seminar on the strategic assessment Borys Babin discussed the ways of cooperation with a Commander of the Navy of Ukraine, Vice Admiral of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor O. Voronchenko and highlighted the pressing concerns of militarization of the sea waters surrounding Crimea by the Russia Federation to the Military Missions Representatives of Great Britain, USA and others.
Apart from the issues of counteraction of Russia’s aggression it was discussed the Mission participation in the commemorative events devoted to the 100th Anniversary of the Ukrainian Navy Flag raised in April 29 1918 in Sevastopol.
