Today, at around 4 am, several houses of Ukrainian citizens and Crimean Tatars were simultaneously searched. The searches took place in Bakhchisaray district, Balaklava and Simferopol. Four citizens were detained and are currently being held in the occupation department of the FSB of the Russian Federation, including:
1) Osmanov Ansar Ismailovich from Bakhchisaray district of Crimea. An activist of the Crimean Solidarity, he regularly attended court hearings on politically motivated cases of persecuted Crimean Tatars and Muslims of Crimea.
2) Ametkhan Nedzhypovych Abdulvapov from Simferopol district of Crimea.
3) Mustafayev Marlen Ramisovich from Belogorsk district of Crimea. Activist of the Crimean Solidarity, participant of a single picket against the repression of Crimean Tatars in 2017, volunteer of social assistance to families of political prisoners in Crimea.
4) Ernes Kazymovych Seitosmanov from Balaklava district of Sevastopol. He is the brother of political prisoner Enver Seitosmanov, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov stated: “During the searches, many lawyers and human rights defenders and journalists in Crimea had no mobile phone service, so it was impossible to reach them. We are talking about the systematic blocking of mobile communications at the time of the alleged investigative actions.”
The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea strongly condemns the actions of the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation and demands an immediate cessation of detention and imprisonment of Ukrainian citizens and other politically motivated persecutions in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

It should be noted that currently, about 120 people are deprived of their liberty by the occupying power for political reasons and are imprisoned in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and the Russian Federation.
