On 8 December 2018 a public discussion devoted to “Creativity under imprisonment. Eyewitnesses testimonies” and the presentation of English -language book “Oleg Sentsov” were held in Kyiv Dovzhenko Center.
The participants of the discussion were the Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov, the Deputy Head Ilmi Umerov, Gaiana Juksel, the Head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Yevhen Samukha and others.
Along with a creative and mental abilities of Oleg Sentsov there is his courageous citizenship, his experience of struggle for liberation, noted as a phenomenon of creativity under imprisonment.
The participants identified the deeds and behavior of the Ukrainian patriot in Russian captivity as an act of intellectual resistance and cultural connection with Crimea and Ukraine.
Some free copies of the book “Oleg Sentsov” edited by Oleksandr Krasovitsky are going to be distributed among the Ukrainian libraries, governmental bodies and diplomatic missions of foreign states.
