On 23-24 May 2019 the conference “Occupied Crimea: foreign and security policies”, organized by the funds “Maidan of Foreign Affairs” and Konrad Adenauer was held in Kyiv. The interlocutors of the conference were the leadership of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in AR of Crimea, Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People as well as human rights defenders. Experts on Crimea and the student’s youth.
The First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine commended the experts of Maidan of Foreign Affairs for their work and gave a presentation “Sanction policy at the international level as a way to de-occupation of Crimea.
Izet Gdanov noted that Ukraine should be an initiator of sanctions against the state – aggressor at the international level until Crimea and Donbass was liberated and the national legislation need to be amended for the violators of sanction regime to be held accountable.
Answering the questions of the interlocutors, the First Deputy pointed out the need to increase the mandate of the Mission which in the absence of executive branch of AR of Crimea and Sevastopol City must coordinate the activity of the current executive authorities in Ukraine regarding Crimean issues.
