On 4 September 2018  the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin participated in the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism to discuss the draft law № 8400 on simplifying the procedure of marriage registration for the citizens of the occupied territories. Following the report of Boris Babin on law implementing practice regarding the provision of the administrative services and civil acts registration for the citizens of the temporarily occupied territories, the draft law № 8400 was supported in the whole and taken as a basis by the Committee.

On 5 September 2018 at the meeting of the Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision Borys Babin reported on the situation of exercising the labor and social rights of the IDPs, residing in the temporarily occupied territory along with a current activity and the prospects of the Mission in these endeavors. Following his report and its discussion by involving the representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Committee supported the tasks of the Plan of Urgent Measures on Counteraction of Russia’s Aggression from the Temporarily Occupied Territory of Ukraine in Crimea, Defense of the Interests of the State, Citizens of Ukraine and Ukrainian Legal Persons in Crimea for the period of 2018 – 2019 in the area of labor and social rights of Crimean residents.
