On March 4, Permanent Representative Olha Kuryshko presented the state award of Ukraine to musician and virtuoso accordionist Shevket Yakubovych Zmorka on behalf of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 818/2025 of November 6, 2025, he was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine” on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art.

The honorary title was conferred in recognition of his significant personal contribution to the development of national culture and art, his substantial creative achievements, and his high professional skill.
Shevket Zmorka is a renowned musician and virtuoso accordionist whose work is an important part of cultural life and the popularization of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar art. This award recognizes his many years of creative work and his significant contribution to the development of Ukraine’s culture.
The presentation of the award to Shevket Zmorka is also about the indomitability and dignity of the Crimean Tatar people. We believe that the state tradition of such recognition will continue, discovering new names and supporting artists who, through music, preserve and promote Crimea.
