Today, the Permanent Representative joined the event on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state awards to the military servicemen and representatives of other professions and handed over passports to Ukrainians who turned 14.

In his speech, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the challenges faced by Ukraine and emphasized the role of every courageous and compassionate Ukrainian in maintaining the country’s independence:
Our statehood is your achievement: of everyone who fights and works for Ukraine, unites the world, learns, spreads the truth, and prepares to hold Russia accountable for everything it has done against us. Our statehood is you, everyone who cares about Ukraine, is proud of Ukraine, and does everything they can to ensure Ukraine’s victory.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented awards to the defenders of Ukraine and conferred honorary titles on representatives of other professions, including employees of Kharkiv and Trypillia thermal power plants, Dnipro hydroelectric power plant, utilities, educators and doctors, cultural figures, educators and doctors.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also presented passports to young Ukrainians, including children of Ukrainian defenders, volunteers, athletes, and Olympic winners.
