Dear compatriots! 100 years ago when in 1918 Petro Bolbochan troops had broken the blockade set by Bolsheviks in Chongar and went to liberate Crimea from the Moskovian occupation. Military operation targeting the Salkovo bridge across the Syvash Gulf enabled the Armed Forces of Ukrainian People’s Republic to penetrate quickly into the interior of the peninsula and in April, 24 to liberate Simferopol. “Nowhere throughout the country the Ukrainian army has been welcomed enthusiastically with the applause by the population of Simferopl. All streets were decorated with the flowers and crowded with people, who joyfully greeted Bolbochan. All the way down a crowd of people run to accompany their winner and liberator cheering enthusiastically that could not be never forgotten” – Borys Monkevitch, the member of the Crimean trip wrote in his memories.
Doubtfully from a military perspective Ukrainian People’s Republic won a prominent victory. Despite the considerable advantages of the “Red” forces, the activity of the Ukrainian forces caused the collapse of the regime in Crimea, and made the rise of Ukrainian Flags on the Black Sea Fleet ships in Sevsastopol.
I believe that the experience of the Ukrainian People’s heroic struggle for their Native Land and our hard work aimed to strengthening the Army, the activity of the domestic diplomats at the international level, international pressure on the aggressor is relentlessly approaching the moment of returning treacherously annexed Crimea and districts of Donetsk and Lugansk by the Russia Federation.
We will definitely win!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to its winners!
