On 24 April 2019 the officials of the Mission attended a public discussion “Ukrainian society and Crimea – vision for the future”. Among the participants of the discussion was the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Affairs of Crimean Tatars, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhamilyov.
He reviewed the actions of the Russian occupiers on the militarization of the peninsula and persecution of the Crimean Tatars including efficiency and support, provided to Ukraine on Crimean issues by the foreign states and international organizations. He outlined the targets of further struggle for de-occupation of Crimea, stressing that Ukraine had chosen the democratic way of struggle for its liberation. Mustafa Dzhamilyov added that after the liberation of Crimea it should be expended much effort and resources for the restoration of the peninsula.
During the event, the five –year review of the informational project “Crimea. Reality” was presented as well. Also one of the interlocutors, the leader of the group “Antitela” Taras Topolya noted that Russia spread strong propaganda and therefore in addition to the diplomatic solutions to the liberation of Crimea, the efficient cultural and information resource should be involved
