On 28 October the Chief Consultant of the Department of Legal Analysis participated in the round table on theme “Ukraine – Strategic Importance of Location. Conflicts and Approaches to Re-integration of Donbass, International Experience”, held by the Office of Human Rights Commissioner of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the support of Great Britain Embassy in Ukraine
The Round table was held to form the basis for legislative and public support of national policy in restoration of peace, institutional dialogue, economic development and building a society for the victims, suffered from the conflict. The Round table agenda included the issues of the experience to institutionalize the dialogue at the local level in Ukraine, the role of civil society, being the object of the conflict and as a subject to overcome it, synergy and conflicts in collaboration between the authorities and non-governmental initiatives.
The participants of the event were the People’s Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of the governmental authorities, civil society and international associations, the experts of Independent International Peacekeeping Organization “Conciliation Resources” (Great Britain).
