Being here in Bykivnia, in a sad and holy place, you will inevitably listen to silence. There are thousands and thousands of slain and killed innocent victims here. Which were shot and secretly buried. Trying to ensure that even local residents do not know anything about these terrible crimes. For decades, the communist government covered those events with a dense blanket of lies and mysteries. Only through the activity of the public, the activity of the dissidents of his time, the first information began to be collected and made public. Until now, in the independent Ukraine, the scale of this horror that took place in this forest, which deserves to be called the Ukrainian necropolis, was not understood.
