On 29 November 2018 the Head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Yevhen Samukha participated in the launches of the study “Overview of violations of international humanitarian law and the right of Crimean Tatar people to self-determination in the occupied Crimea”, held by the civic organization “Crimea SOS” with the support of the Konrad–Adenauer-Stiftung Office in Ukraine, represented by its Head Gabriele. Baumann.
The study is a continuation of the Encyclopedia of repressions in Crimea since its annexation by Russia and contains the facts about the human rights violations in the peninsula between 26 February 2014 and 30 September 2018. The report covers the topics on the freedom of expression and information, freedom of assembly and association, religious freedom and the most wide-spread violations of international humanitarian law and the rights of Crimean Tatar people to self-determination.
