On March, 25 maritime security ship of State Guard Service of Ukraine detained the fishing vessel  – violator “Nord” with a crew of ten fishermen flying illegally the flag of Russia Federation in the areas of the Azov Sea within the coast controlled by Ukraine. The vessel was detained about 15 miles of Obytochna Spit.

The inspection found out that it had been registered in the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea and unlawfully used the flag of Russia Federation. Besides the members of the crew violated the Order of departure from the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea and all of them have the so-called “passports of citizens” of Russia Federation issued to them in Kerch.

At the moment the detained vessel with a crew on its board escorted to the port of Berdyansk for further inspectional and prosecutorial activities. Also the identity of detainers will be determined. More, over while examining the vessel the trawl for fishing and 5 tons of sea products were found. It was informed upon the fact of misdemeanor the structural subdivisions of  Prosecutor’s Office, the Main Directorate of SSU in ARC and the Main Directorate of National Policy of Zaporizhya region.

The documents were drawn up on the detained members of the crew according to the article 204-2 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences and against the captain of the vessel the information on assessment of his actions according to the article 332-1 of Criminal Code of Ukraine on is sent to the Main Directorate of SSU in ARC.
