On March 27 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and the Chief Consultants of the Departments of the International Connections and Legal Analysis of the Mission participated in the conference: “Prospects for the development of state policy towards the occupied territories of Ukraine”.
During the conference the statements were made by the Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, the President of the Center for Conflict Prevention and Early Warning Julian Kifu, associate scientist of the Royal Institute of International Relations Chatham House James Sherr, experts of “Maidan of Foreign Affairs”, other Ukrainian and international experts, state and civil activists.

At the beginning of the conference “Prospects for the development of state policy towards the occupied territories of Ukraine”, co-organized by the Mission, the book presentation: “Occupied Crimea under sanctions and blockade for 2014-2017” by the authorship of the experts of “Maidan of Foreign Affairs” was made. During the conference it was discussed the prospects of compliance of sanctions and infrastructure provision of relationship with the occupied territories, formation of future dispensation of Crimea, inner policy of Ukraine towards the occupied territories and its influence on the power sector of Ukraine, restoration of the constitutional Human Rights for the IDPs, security situation in the Black Sea region, hybrid war between Ukraine and the Russia Federation, resilience and social cohesion on its background as well as military aspects of the Crimea de-occupation.
During his speech Borys Babin not only informed about the current activity of the Mission on the emphasized directions but pointed out the current challenges. The Permanent Representative highlighted thoroughly the issue of planning and coordination of the governmental bodies on de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea, particularly on drafting by the Mission the Plan of emergency measures to prevent Russia’s aggression from the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea, defense of the interests of the state, citizens of Ukraine and legal Ukrainian persons in Crimea for 2018-2019.
