On April, 12 the Chief Consultants of the Departments of International Connections and Legal Analysis attended the lecture, devoted to memorize the famous scientist, philologist, historian and orientalist of the XX century Omelyan Pritsak, on theme: “Political and legal subjectivity of the Crimean Tatar People: past and present” held in the Research Center of Oriental Studies named after Omelyan Pritsak.
The lecturer was Refat Chubarov – the Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People, the President of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the Honorary Professor of the National University of Kyiv-Mogyla Academy. The lecture was also attended by the students, teachers of the Academy, historians, journalists and civil activists. It was analyzed the historical background of subjectivity of the Crimean Tatar People in comparison with the modern events by political and historical assessments. The lecturer reviewed the legal and regulatory frameworks of the Crimean Tatars’ Rights protection as an Indigenous People of Ukraine.
