On March 20 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin, his First Deputy Izet Gdanov together with the officials of the Mission held a working meeting on realization of social, cultural, educational and property rights of the citizens of Ukraine, displaced from the peninsula to improve the analytical and information management and coordination of the Mission’s activities.
The participants of the meeting were the authorities of the specialized offices and departments of Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, and Kherson Regional State Administrations, the representatives of Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine OSCE (Kherson) and United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (Odessa). In the course of the meeting it was highlighted the most urgent issues of IDPs from Crimea for the Southern regions of the mainland Ukraine: the provision of the temporarily accommodation, the availability of the educational services, in particular within the Entrance Campaign – 2018, the qualified medical aid, employment assistance, verification of social services.

The Permanent Representative stressed that the number of IDPs is supposed to be increased because of strengthening political repressions after the so-called “elections” in the occupied peninsula. That is why the mechanism of improving the verification of the inhabitants of the occupied peninsula in order to provide them with the temporarily housing was discussed and interactions in support of obtaining funds from the State, local budgets and financial help of International donors agreed.
The meeting resulted by a common position on informing the Crimean applicants for entry on Higher Educational Establishments activity, creating the appropriate social advertising of Higher Educational Establishments and planning the activity to make the Entrance Campaign -2018 to be successful within the project “Crimea-Ukraine”. It was emphasized the successful experience of Odessa region in financing the qualified medical aid for IDPs, expedite implementation of the building project of social housing complexes for IDPs and the problems relating to functioning of transit camps and hostels for IDPs in Dnipropetrovsc, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions.
