According to the established tradition, the civilized nations of the world celebrate the UN’s International Day for the Fighting of Women’s Rights and International Peace on 8 March.
It is symbolic that it was precisely in March 2014 that Crimean women carried out numerous non-violent actions to resist the criminal occupation of a peninsula by an aggressor. Today it is worth mentioning the women who became victims of political repression for four years on the peninsula, about women, whose families and homes came bloody and dirty boots of insurgents and collaborators, about women who lost their loved ones during Russian aggression.
A special honor and respect today – for female servicemen, volunteers, human rights activists, physicians, all those who, in difficult times, counteract hostile aggression, protect Ukraine and take an active part in the de-occupation and reintegration of the peninsula. After all, all women and men should fight for peace. The peace that will come after the restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine will be the most important guarantee of the protection of their rights.
