On August 22, 2018 the Head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission of the President of Ukraine Yevhen Samuha participated in the event, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the First Congress of Ukrainian organizations in Crimea. The attempts of Provincial Ukrainian Council in Crimea during 1917-1920 to coordinate the activity of Crimean Ukrainians and of 1917-1920 in the former building of the House of Central Rada. The historic experience of self-organization of Crimean Ukrainians at the beginning of XX century and the activity of Provincial Ukrainian Council in Crimea under the constant changing of political regimes and fighting were highlighted during the public dialogue by speakers, among which were the coordinator of Taurida Humanitarian Platform Andriy Ivanets and the Director of the State Enterprise “Derzhzovnishinform” Bogdan Dubas. protect their rights was discussed in the context of the Russian occupation. As Yevhen Samuha said: “It is difficult to build better future without an objective knowledge and assessment of the past, in particular to make the life of Ukrainian and other national minorities of Crimea better after its imminent de-occupation”.
