The President of Ukraine, in his address at the traditional meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Ukraine on January 16th, 2018, stated that this year we will be working to return other Ukrainian hostages from the occupied Donbass and Crimea and political prisoners held in the Russian prisons as soon as possible. Ukraine will continue to pave the way for the reintegration of the occupied Ukrainian lands peacefully, politically and diplomatically. “This is a signal for both Donbass and Crimea: you are an integral part of Ukraine, and we will do our best to make you return as quickly as possible”, the President of Ukraine said.
Taking this opportunity, the President of Ukraine in his address thanked all the states-friends of Ukraine who voted in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution on human rights in the occupied Crimea and, in particular, the co-authors of the resolution as Partners of the International Crimean De-occupation Platform, which actually became crystallized and started its work.
The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Borys Babin was invited for the traditional meeting and held a fruitful dialogue, within the limits of his competence, with the heads of central bodies of executive power, People’s Deputies of Ukraine, leadership of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, diplomats of Great Britain and Lithuania and representatives of International Organizations.
