On 25 October the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin skyped at the International Scientific Conference “Holocaust and International Law”, held by the Ukrainian Association of International law, Odessa Museum of Holocaust and the Fundamental Investigation Foundation to mark the 70th anniversary of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide The conference focused its work on Holocaust impact to the development of doctrine and practice of International Law on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide as well as reflection them in the international and legal conscience.
Borys Babin told about the consequences of the Holocaust for Crimea, particularly, under its temporarily occupation and the attempts of the occupying authorities of Russia to use the tragic events of the Second World War for incitement of inter-ethnic discord. Borys Babin paid a special attention to the tragic consequences of the Holocaust for the Krymchaks, emphasizing the need to begin the court proceedings in case of Henocide of the Crimean Tatar People, which is unfortunately physically postponed.
