On March,16 in the Center for Civil Liberties the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin participated in the training on the rights and security of Indigenous People. The attenders of the training were the Human Rights defenders of the Center for Civil Liberties, the officials of the civil communities, volunteers, students, IDPs from Crimea.
During the training, Borys Babin moderated the discussion about the historic background of indigenous people’s rights, the stages of development, establishment and defense of their rights at the international level. The reference was made to the existing international institutions of Indigenous People’s rights protection and highlighted the current challenges of Indigenous People’s rights protection under the occupation of Crimea.
