In April,16 the Chief Consultants of the Departments of International Connections and Legal Analysis of the Mission of thee President of Ukraine attended the presentation of the annual foreign policy investigation on theme: “Ukrainian Prism: Foreign Policy 2017” held in the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine named after Gennadiy Udovenko. The director of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine Marcel Rotig, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodner, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine named after Gennadiy Udovenko at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Korsunsky, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Foreign Affairs, Anna Hopko, “Ukrainian Prism” Team of Foreign Policy Council were the participants of the meeting.During the event the foreign policy of Ukraine assessment in 2017 was done by 50 geographical and functional lines.

It was emphasized the methodology and the main directions, the results of investigation and recommendations to provide the activity in the international level of Ukraine. The experts concluded that the foreign policy of Ukraine had improved compared with the previous year. The participants discussed the adoption by Verkhovna Rada in the second reading the Drafts Law about the Anti-Corruption Court and National Security to be very important for the economic stability, defense strengthening and cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and NATO ahead of the Brussel summit.

The printed version of the foreign policy assessment was presented there.After the assessment the expert discussion was held on “How to strengthen the level of interinstitutional cooperation in foreign policy?” The leadership of the institutions responsible for the development and implementation of the institution cooperation in foreign policy of Ukraine such as Deputy Head – Head of the Department of the Main Department for Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Presidential Administration Sergey Leshchenko, the Director of the Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Olga Stefanishina, State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine Artem Bidenko, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Alexey Makeyev, a member of Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Pashkov, experts of the Ukrainian Center for Economic and Political Studies named after Olexander Razumkov.
