According to acting manager of NEC «Ukrenergo» Vsevolod Kovalchuk a few days ago «Ukrenergo» sent to the authorities of the state aggressor an official statement about the investment disputes over the asserts of the company in Crimea.The NEC «Ukrenergo» will be represented by the lawyers of the International Law Firm «Covington & Burling LLP», which previously helped to submit a similar claim for the PJSC «Ukrtransgas» of Ukraine and provides legal services to Ukraine in the inter State legal proceedings against Russia.

If the NEC «Ukrenergo» could not manage to settle a dispute with Russia peacefully by the end of September, the company could file a claim against Russia to the International Arbitration as it has been successfully done by the PJSC «Ukrtransgas». The claim would include not only the property of the NEC «Ukrenergo» lost but uncollected incomes of the NEC «Ukrenergo» because the value of the NEC «Ukrenergo» Crimean network is near 1 milliard US dollars: the network consists of thousands of transmission lines, dozens of electric substations and much more including two treatment centers.
