In May, 22 2018 the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Izet Gdanov together with the officials of the Departments of International Connections and Legal Analysis of the Mission participated in the constructive meeting on issues connected to the illegal activity of Russia which influence negatively on the Ukrainian transport segment. The participants of the meeting discussed the transit passengers’ movement, transportation of goods by sea, road and railway means to/from the territory of RF, cargo traffic to/from RF. Also it was highlighted the issues on the restitution of property left in the temporarily occupied territory in Crimea and establishing the alternative routes of cargo delivery in Ukraine.

The First Deputy Izet Gdanov set out the proposals of the Mission on combating the threats from the RF in the passenger transportation, cargo traffic throughout the territory of Ukraine and counteracting the violation of the International Law regarding to the inland waters, territorial sea waters of the exclusive maritime economic zone of Ukraine, particularly of the sailors rights and security of navigation by the occupying authorities of the Russia. As the result of the meeting it was decided to establish, under aegis of  the Mission, the Working group on security of navigation in the Azov, Black Seas and the Kerch Straight and on considerations gor further support of Agreements between Ukraine and Russia on maritime affairs and fishery.
