In May, 10 2018 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in ARC Borys Babin and the officer of the Department of International Relations of the Mission Taisia Tkachenko discussed together with the representatives of the Kherson Team SMM OSCE in the framework of the working meeting the appropriate fixation and assessment of the illegal activity of the occupying authorities in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in Crimen also as the relevant negative processes and their results in the adjacent territory of the mainland Ukraine.
The attention was paid to the violation of International legal norms concerning the inland waters, territorial sea and exclusive maritime economic zone of Ukraine in the context of illegal activity of the aggressor state armed forces in the Black Sea, Kerch Straight and Azov Sea, including Syvash Bay. A special attention was drawn to the illegal capture of the citizens of Ukraine – the fishing boat “ЯМК -0041” crew members of together with the boat by the officers of the Board Guard FSS of Russia on the vessel “Ametist” .It was contended the commitment of the official statements to be done by the Russians authorities on the abovementioned situation and the lack of any life and health guarantees for the captured citizens of Ukraine by the occupiers in Crimea, which has become the territory of lawlessness and arbitrariness of Russian’s punitive bodies. It was marked a great resemblance between the actions of the governmental bodies of Ukraine and illegal occupying bodies of RF in inspection the fishery in the above mentioned sea areas which includes the respectfulness of the International legal norms and standards of Human Rights by the Ukrainian authorities and in principle disregard for such a norms and standards by the punitive bodies and armed forces of the aggressor state.
Also the representatives of the SMM OSCE were interested in the opening of the Administrative Service Centers in the adjacent districts to the TOT of Ukraine in Crimea and the availability of services of certification for the Crimean residents including the issues of the certification of the teenagers and the Crimean prisoners who are serving sentences in the prisons situated in the mainland Ukraine.
The pension payments and access to the banking service for the Crimean residents were discussed. The aspects of the entrance campaign of 2018 “Crimea – Ukraine” was a core issue to be discussed also as the coherent measures had been taken at the State level to establish the preferential entrance for the applicants from Crimea to the Higher Educational Establishments in the regions adjacent to Crimea. Concluding Peter Chilvers, the Head of Kherson Team of SMM OSCE in Ukraine marked the efficient activity of the Missing regarding the above mentioned issues for the last half the year and thanked for the fruitful cooperation.
